Julian Alexander, Director, and Keagan Karnes, Producer

Feature “Buffalo”

Julian Alexander was born and raised in Norfolk, VA before moving to Las Cruces, New Mexico in 2007 during high school. He always had an interest in filmmaking when he was younger, but he truly tapped into his passion after joining the media group at his high school. After a summer internship in London, England shadowing BAFTA nominated and VMA winning producer Luti Fagbenle, Julian realized that it was very possible to turn his passion into a career. After high school Julian started his own production company, and produced music videos, commercials, and films around southern New Mexico. During his college career Julian produced over a dozen student thesis projects and music videos with his fellow students. Now Julian is ready to step into the director's chair and produce the film that represents his entire educational career.

Keagan Karnes began his career in Digital Media in the sixth grade when he entered a media magnet program, continuing his studies and earning a degree in Creative Media. Keagan has worked on multiple large budget studio films as well as national commercials for Home Depot and Nissan. He interned for "Bully Pictures" in Los Angeles where he had the privilege to gain the experience necessary and understand the inner workings of a production company while working with some of the biggest directors and producers in the industry.  More recently Keagan has himself served as a producer and director on commercials, music videos and short films under the “Something Fresh” name and has his focus set on the management and growth of Something Fresh Productions.
