Skiers and snowboarders throughout Northern New Mexico are rejoicing as a flurry of wet weather conditions have brought fresh snow to higher elevations throughout Northern New Mexico, including a blanket of fresh powder on area ski mountains.

Most ski resorts in the the state are open, according to George Brooks, director of Ski New Mexico. "Weather patterns continue to be favorable with more snow predicted in the near future," Brooks writes on the website. "...Conditions for the Christmas holidays should be outstanding."
