More than a Market
Santa Fe's International Folk Art Market is more than just a market with additional community events including a drumming performance, July 8, by Las Alegres Ambulancias and other local groups, and a free community celebration, July 10, that offers unique artist demonstrations, poetry readings, musical performances and food from a variety of local vendors.
As part of the world's largest folk art market of its kind, more than 150 artists from 60 different countries come to Santa Fe to sell their unique native work and share their stories at Museum Hill, July 10-13.
Night at the Ballet
Aspen Santa Fe Ballet brings an inspiring program of stunning works to the Lensic, July 11 & 12. The promising performances include The Square None Norbert de la Cruz III, the poetic Return to a Strange Land and The Heart(s)pace.
Grammy-nominated singer Krishna Das brings his traditional call-and-response Kirtan chanting to the Greer Garson Theatre in support of his new album, "Kirtan Wallah," July 10 and 11.
Do the Time Warp
The Santa Fe Independent Film Festival presents a free outdoor screening of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," Saturday, July 12 at the Railyard Park. The night's events include an after-party, costume contest and shadow cast.
Toasting the 500th
KBAC’s most popular specialty show, Toast-n-Jam, celebrates its 500th episode at Second Street Brewery, July 10. Festivities take place all day with an anniversary specials menu, extended happy hour, musical performances and an appearance by Toast-n-Jam host, the Mighty D.
