Red River

Red River is an old-fashioned American town, complete with a boardwalk, saloons, and melodrama performances. Nestled in a narrow mountain valley on the banks of the Rio Colorado, Red River is a resort town with a great little ski mountain. You can take jeep tours of the high mountain country, play golf or attend a summer rodeo.

Red River was a mining town known as River City and in 1895 it was a boomtown, with 3,000 residents, 15 saloons and a red light district. In the early 1900s, magazines were promoting the town as a fisherman's paradise and an ideal summer resort. Today, it's a popular place for families to visit and enjoy the great outdoors. It's located about an hour and a half from Santa Fe on the Enchanted Circle.
