An intimate acoustic performance from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Member and Songwriter’s Hall of Fame Member Jackson Browne awaits fans when his 2013 Acoustic Tour rolls through Albuquerque at Popejoy Hall on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. – presented by KBAC Radio 98.1 FM “Radio Free Santa Fe.” Tickets go on sale Friday, November 30 at 10 a.m.
Browne has written and performed some of the most literate and moving songs in popular music and has defined a genre of songwriting charged with honesty, emotion and personal politics. Playing guitar and piano and collaborating with musicians on stage, Jackson will perform songs from his entire body of work, with varying set lists each night. The special tour of the Western U.S. begins in Portland, OR on January 19 th and runs through mid-February.
Browne was honored with induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, and the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in 2007. Beyond his music, he is known for his advocacy on behalf of the environment, human rights, and arts education. He's a co-founder of the groups Musicians United for Safe Energy (MUSE), Nukefree.org, and the Success Through the Arts Foundation, which provides education opportunities for students in South Los Angeles.
