“Heal Yourself – Heal the World”
Providing greater access to holistic healthcare education & treatments
Santa Fe Soul Foundation (SFSF) is a 501(c) 3 charity that is working to change the face of healthcare in Santa Fe and beyond. Our mission is to heal our community by helping people access complementary alternative healthcare education and treatments. We are guided by a vision of care that is accessible to all people, integrated, sustainable, and holistic. Right now, 21.6% of New Mexicans are uninsured- the second highest rate of uninsured people in the United States. Significant health disparities exist across gender, socioeconomic, racial and ethnic groups. As a state that is comprised of
almost half minority individuals, New Mexico is facing serious inequality and injustice in our healthcare system. SFSF is addressing the health disparities that exist in our state with the two programs we are currently offering.
Our Pay It Forward grant program aims to improve both individual and community wellness. Grants are awarded to individuals at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Levels so they can access the complementary alternative, preventative and holistic healthcare they deserve. Clients meet with our
experienced case manager to co-create a treatment plan that addresses their current healthcare needs. After receiving treatments, this kindness is paid forward when clients volunteer time or services to other local nonprofit organizations.
Santa Fe Soul Foundation is also providing holistic health education to our community through our Wellness Education program (WE). The WE program’s mission is to foster greater community wellness by educating and empowering individuals to make more informed holistic health choices. We host and market ongoing experiential workshops and classes that empower people to make more informed lifestyle choices regarding the health of themselves, their families, communities and environment. WE classes are taught by qualified practitioners and emphasize the concepts of collaboration, participation, relationship, community and holistic health. The workshops cover a wide range of wellness topics such as yoga, life coaching, sustainability, self-help/healing techniques and more. Classes are offered at a very low cost to participants and a limited
number of scholarships are available.
