The Museum of New Mexico Foundation Shops (MNMFShops) was founded in 1965 to serve as the retail arm of the Museum of New Mexico Foundation. The MNMFShops operates five shops in the the following Museums of New Mexico; New Mexico History Museum, Palace of the Governors, New Mexico Museum of Art and the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture and the Museum of International Folk Art as well as two websites: www.newmexicocreates.org, and www.worldfolkart.org . The www.newmexicocreates.org
and www.worldfolkart.org websites were launched in November of 2006 with financial assistance for development and marketing from the Kellogg Foundation. www.newmexicocreates.org was developed to support the MNMFShops economic development imitative for New Mexicoartists and artisans called New Mexico Creates.
