Zozobra ‘Burnout’ Softball Tournament




Event Description

Santa Fe Adult Softball Association in collaboration with the Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe present:  Zozobra 'Burnout' Softball Tournament

The City of Santa Fe’s Municipal Recreation Sports Complex (MRC) in conjunction with the Santa Fe Softball Association will host the first annual 24 hour Zozobra “Burnout” Softball Tournament on Friday, August 29, 2014, and will run until Sunday, August 31, 2014.  This one-of-a-kind “Burnout” tournament is the first of its kind, and will commence at 12:00 midnight. There will be a three game guarantee with 1st through 3rd place prizes being awarded.

Team players will have an opportunity to “dry” camp at the MRC, and music will be provided intermittently throughout the tournament; sound restrictions and time restraints will be implemented to prevent noise disturbance of the surrounding neighborhoods.  Alcohol is prohibited.

The City of Santa Fe Police Department will conduct “close” patrols of the perimeter and security officers will be present to restrict entry access and ensure the safety and well-being of all attendees.
