Walking from Germany to Rome

In late 2006 and early 2007 we walked from our home in southern Germany over the Alps and down through Italy to Rome. This slide show is a collage of images, videos, and audio clips of that pilgrimage. We shared our experiences and lessons we learned as we walked over Austrian and Tyrolean Alps, across the Po Valley, through Tuscany, and down the Via Francigena, an ancient pilgrimage route from England to Rome.

Your hosts, Petra Wolf and Mike Metras, wanderers in their pilgrimage of life, live in Santa Fe. We have walked far and wide in Europe, India, and America and have walked several European pilgrimage paths. On Christmas Day 2010 we finished a 23-month pilgrimage walk from California to Jerusalem.
