Video Presentation ~ "Plastic Planet"

A 2009, 99-minute European documentary by an Austrian filmmaker, Werner Boote, exposes how plastic today is a catastrophic environmental hazard. It affects our planet Earth's entire ecosystems including disturbing human health risks.

The toxic chemical in plastic manufacturing affects the contents of the plastic container. By excessive drinking or eating the contents of any plastic container, some health effects include male infertility rates that are abnormal.  Newborn babies have higher risks of abnormalities from the moment of conception when plastic is ingested frequently by both parents.  Birds, chickens, and fish are even affected by the toxicity of plastic.

Worldwide, we are in a huge plastic epidemic that must be addressed  Boote offers some solutions that would change the manufacturing process to reduce plastic toxicity. Will the corporate world listen? 

Education is one of Boote's solutions as all people love the convenience of plastic, an addiction that can be curtailed.  When people learn the harm it's doing to all planetary life worldwide including poor, human health, we can do something about it on micro and macro levels.  Our computer-like minds love to be updated.  That knowing can turn this catastrophe around.
