Meow Wolf and Year of the Octopus present
General Admission: $5
The Lulz Comedy Night is beating back the odds to grow an authentic stand-up comedy scene in Santa Fe. This monthly event is the brainchild of Meow Wolf, a local arts collective whose vision is to not only bring funny people to Santa Fe, but inspire a new crop of comedians (and audiences) right here in our backyard.
Following two successful shows earlier in the year, The Lulz Comedy Night takes the stage for its third installment on Saturday, August 2. The event, at the new Skylight Santa Fe nightclub, caps off the final day of Night Wave, a three-night festival of downtown events funded by the city to improve the health and vibrancy of our nighttime economy.
The August 2 lineup features two hilarious and original new talents from Santa Fe – Chris Miller and Mike Turney – along with Duke City sketch troupe, Comedy? and seasoned Albuquerque comics, Keith Breckenridge and Genevieve Mueller, who will co-headline the show.
The Lulz Comedy Night is presented by Meow Wolf with Year of the Octopus, an emerging presenter of comedy and spoken word in Santa Fe.
Sketch troupe Comedy? (pronounced “comedy-question-mark”) has been entertaining Duke City audiences for years with their distinctively hilarious brand of long-form improv, games and sketch comedy. Voted among Albuquerque’s Top 3 Comedy Troupes in 2012 by the Weekly Alibi, Comedy? is an audience favorite at Albuquerque’s The Box Performance Space, Improv Theater, and Aux Dog Theatre.
Mike Turney works in "IT" and had the pleasure of hosting Meow Wolf/SFPA's event BINGO in 2013. He is so super stoked to be part of Lulz to put jokes in your zone.
Chris Miller is a human person who builds and fixes things. He likes to see the weird and silly parts of living.
Keith Breckenridge, Headliner:
Keith Breckenridge was first featured on NBC's “The After After Party.“ Episodes # 32 ,#82 and #101 starring Breaking Bad's Steven Michael Quezada. Keith's innovative and riveting brand of comedy touches on all aspects of everyday life from work to family and everything in between. His comedy is often viewed as gritty and edgy while humorlessly crossing culture lines. His Texan roots and New Mexican upbringing provide insightful commentary that has made him a crowd favorite around the state.
Genevieve Mueller, Headliner:
