The Hank Williams Tribute Brunch with Cathy Faber’s Swingin’ Country Band - In a short career that spanned only from 1946 to 1952, Hank Williams was widely considered country music’s first superstar. He was instrumental in turning “hillbilly” music into “country” music, and his songs are still covered by major recording artists and widely enjoyed 60 years after his death. Cathy Faber’s Swingin’ Country Band is happy to be playing songs written and covered by the late Hank Williams every Sunday afternoon in May. Cathy will take on the role of “Henrietta” Williams and sing lead vocals while playing upright bass, accompanied by George Langston on guitar, Dave Devlin on steel, Pat Mahoney on fiddle, and Chris Carpenter on drums. We think you’ll enjoy the timeless nature of this music, brought to you by some of the finest musicians of this genre in the Southwest.
