Get ready to spring into fun when the first annual Taos Lilac Festival comes to Taos, May 17th through May 19th. Established to celebrate our heritage of Lilacs and to promote their care and planting throughout the Taos area, this admission-free, family-friendly event promises something for everyone!
Festivalgoers can meet and mingle with more than 40 talented artisans and crafts people as they display work ranging from ceramics, fiber, wood, leather and metalwork to jewelry and art pieces around Taos Plaza on Saturday May 18th and Sunday May 19th. Specialty food vendors and Lilac Festival merchandise will also be available.
Musicians will entertain visitors from the plaza gazebo and youngsters won’t want to miss the Children's Pet Parade and Tio Vivo carousel. The whole family will enjoy the Lilac Festival Parade and the antique truck show as well as self-guided tours along the historic Lilac Trails.
The mission of the Taos Lilac Festival LLC is to promote tourism in the Taos area. Any profit generated after reasonable reserves for operations will be donated to area non-profit organizations.
