UWC-USA Presents an Evening of Art and Dance on April 5
Montezuma, NM: UWC-USA’s fine arts department will present a combined celebration of visual art and dance on Friday, April 5 at 7 p.m. in the Kluge Auditorium on the UWC-USA campus.
First, the visual art department will sponsor The Final Show, a collection of works presented by the second-year International Baccalaureate visual arts candidates. At at 8 p.m., the dance department will present Spring Fling, the second annual performance of the UWC Dance Ensemble.
Spring Fling features final submissions by International Baccalaureate dance students including solos and duets, as well as works by Randy Barron and Kathleen Kingsley. The ensemble will perform “Spring Dance,” set to a collaborative work by Yo Yo Ma and various musical artists from the Goat Rodeo Sessions. Joining the company as guest dancer is Robin Ediger Seto, formerly of the Las Vegas Children’s Dance Theater and currently a senior at the New Mexico School for the Arts.
The event is free and open to the public. Guests must check in at the Welcome Center, where they will be directed to parking.
