Please plan to attend one or many of our fabulous student concerts this season. With more than 3000 students participating in our elective music offerings grades 4-12, and every child (several thousand) participating at the elementary level, I can safely say that thousands of children are eager to share holiday music with you!

Grades K-2 will present “Let It Snow”, Winter Snowflakes Orff arrangement, “Colors of Winter” and “Little Snowflakes” arranged by Jane Belcher, and “Winter’s Here”, a three-part poem. Two dances from John Feierabend’s “Move It” Collection, and two Orff arrangements by Deanna Stark.

Tesuque Elementary School presents “Five Golden Rings”

Students from K-6 present a spoof on the original Christmas carol, “The 12 Days of Christmas”. They will have a Partridge, 2 Turtle Doves, 3 French Hens, 4 Calling Birds, 5 Golden Rings in various formations, 6 Geese Honking, 7 Swans Not Swimming, 8 Maidens and a Scat-Singing Cow, 9 Ladies Dancing, 10 Lords Playing Leap-Frog, 11 Pipers on Recorders and 12 Drummers Drumming! Also featured is as a child who only wanted a basketball! This show will be presented in song, dance and Orff instruments.

Bryan Fant Theatre

Students from in grades 9 - 12 will perform seasonal music. Band pieces will include “Do You Hear What I Hear”, “Nikosi Sikeli Africa”, several small ensembles and more! Choral features “He Lives in You”, “Can You Hear”, “Cantar”, “Carol of the Bells”, “This Little Light of Mine” and “How Can I Keep From Singing”. String orchestra students will perform “Christmas Canon”, “English Christmas Tidings”, “Bring a Torch Jeannette Isabella” and “Christmas Carol Medley” The string & horn Ensembles will accompany the Choir.
