Event Description

Santa Fe Bandstand is a free summer music festival on the Santa Fe Plaza, produced by Outside In Productions and a crew that strives to present the city with a wide range of performers, who represent the diversity and wealth of musical talent in this region. Performances take place Monday to Thursday, through August 16, 2012. All shows are free and open to the public. During evening performances, the first act begins around 6 p.m., the headlining act performs at approximately 7:30 p.m.

 

Sean Healen is an award winning singer/ songwriter. With music and lyrics reminiscent of Leonard Cohenand a style at once intricate and eloquent. Sean is rapidly achieving the national stage. A long time resident of New Mexico, his recent album "Floodplain" was awarded Best Rock CD 2009 at the New Mexico Music Awards. "Floodplain" was produced by Multi Platinum Producer John Kurzweg (Creed, Jewel, Big Head Todd) A more recent cd project "Crown Of Coal" was recorded and produced by Grammy winner and legendary producer Malcolm Burn (Emmy Lou Harris, Dylan etc,...) Sean also was recently produced by Multi Platinum Record Producer Scott Mathews (Cash, Orbison, Elvis Costello etc...). 

John Kurzweg is an American record producer and musician who first became known for his work with successful post-grunge band Creed in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Three of Creed's records, which Kurzweg produced, were certified multi-platinum and helped Creed achieve worldwide popularity. Kurzweg also played keyboards and sang background vocals on Creed's first three albums. After Creed broke-up in 2004, Kurzweg produced lead vocalist Scott Stapp's platinum-selling debut album The Great Divide in 2005. Kurzweg has also produced other popular bands, such as Puddle of Mudd and Socialburn, as well as solo artists Jewel and Eagle Eye Cherry. Prior to his success as record producer, in the 1980s, Kurzweg was a popular musician in the Tallahassee area, fronting bands such as Slapstick, Synergy, The Front, Radio Bikini and John Kurzweg and the Night. In late 1980s Kurzweg signed a record deal with Atlantic Records, which he released under the name John Phillip (using his middle name as his last name).
