With the drive to bring a fresh and diverse art event to the heart of downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico in late June, an art show focusing on sculpture arts has surfaced, Sculpt Santa Fe. This will be the first annual sculpture show and sale of its kind in Santa Fe hosted at The Eldorado Hotel & Spa in the spacious and open area Pavilion from June 27 -June 29, 2014.
The mission of Sculpt Santa Fe is to increase awareness about some of the top sculptors in the country, host a venue space that would be advantageous to sales of sculptures, encourage shared ideas and techniques between sculptors and conduct a professional art show that excites art lovers along with emerging and veteran sculpture collectors worldwide.
Sculptors will have their displays set up by Friday, June 27th at 5pm ready for the VIP Wine Reception hosted in the Pavilion of The Eldorado Hotel & Spa that carries through to 6pm. This special VIP Wine Reception is by invitation only. From 6pm - 9pm, the Pavilion will be open to the public for a free preview of the newest sculptures by Sculpt Santa Fe artists. In the Agave Lounge of The Eldorado Hotel & Spa, all attendees are invited to the after party inside Santa Fe’s favorite bar!
The show will be open and free to the public on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. With about fifty different booths on display, featuring some of the top sculpture talent in the country, participants are sure to enjoy a great weekend meeting the sculptors, art dealers and gallerists.
Saturday evening at 6pm, join sculptors and collectors at the Sculpt Santa Fe Gourmet Dinner brought to you by The Old House Restaurant at The Eldorado Hotel & Spa. The intimate three-course dinner prepared by Chef Anthony Smith and Chef de Cuisine Evan Doughty will be paired with fine wines and spirits. Reservations are required and tickets cost $75 each.
Sculpture has made a large impact in the Santa Fe art market, with the Southwest location of Sculpt Santa Fe easy to attend and travel to. Artists along with fine art collectors know all too well about the dynamic sculpture destination Santa Fe has become and what Sculpt Santa Fe is about.
