Join conductor and educator Oliver Prezant for an illuminating five-part series on Opera. Each talk will focus on an important theme in opera and will include a preview of one of the remarkable productions of The Santa Fe Opera's 2014 season.

April 19:  "Mozart and Salieri: The Competition" / Mozart: The Impressario

April 26:  "Beethoven to the Rescue!" / Beethoven: Fidelio

May 3:    "Growing up Buffa - Italian Comic Opera" / Donizetti: Don Pasquale

May 10:  "Freedom to Live, Freedom to Die" / Bizet: Carmen

May 17:  "Becoming Modern" / Stravinsky: The Nightingale

Oliver Prezant is a popular lecturer for The Santa Fe Opera, the Music Director of the Santa Fe Community Orchestra, and the Artistic Advisor to the ArtWorks program, which provides arts education programs for public school students and teachers. His unique presentations have helped thousands of music lovers deepen their appreciation and understanding of music.
