The Santa Fe Music Alliance (SFMA) will host a spring membership party and concert at Warehouse 21 Saturday, April 20th from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Headlining the event will be local Latin sensation Manzanares.
The Santa Fe Music Alliance is a non-profit organization formed to support local musicians and engage the community in all things music-related in the City Different. This is an all-ages event.
The award-winning “nuevo Latino” group Manzanares, fronted by brothers David and Michael Manzanares, is known for its kinetic performances, soaring melodies and stellar musicianship. The band has opened for Grammy winners Los Lobos on several occasions, and their music has been featured on ABC's Primetime Live and the Food Network's "FoodNation with Bobby Flay." Manzanares' long list of accolades includes several New Mexico Music Industry awards and a "best Latino album" win from the Independent Music Awards. Their tune "Que Se Va" won Billboard's best world song contest.
Also on the bill are young up-and-coming acts All the Wrong Reasons and Jake Montiel.
"This is opportunity to hear youth musicians and seasoned musicians sharing the stage," said Busy McCarroll, SFMA Vice President. "And it's another great way to get SFMA information and join."
A raffle will also be held.
Teenagers from Warehouse 21 will manage the lights and sound for the event and sell snacks in the lobby. WHAT: Santa Fe Music Alliance Spring Show
