Santa Fe Harvest Swap 2013

A Celebration of Community & Local Food

Event Description

Neighbors have always traded garden fare informally, and this year Santa Feans can join the national trend in food swaps at the Second Annual Santa Fe Harvest Swap. The Harvest Swap is a place to share the abundance of our gardens, orchards, wild lands and backyard barnyards.  If it is anything like the first it will be an abundant display of homemade, homegrown, hand-foraged fruits, vegetables, herbs, eggs, meats, marmalades, pestos, granolas, butter, mushrooms, seeds, …if you can eat it, it is welcome!!

Railyard Stewards and partners will provide activities to make the swap fun for kids as well.  Everyone is invited to enjoy the live music by Samba Fe, and kids' fall activities such as the native plant scavenger hunt and making a leaf booklet.

To participate in the swap, please
Register for the Santa Fe Harvest Swap.

And if you have nothing to swap, then be sure and stop by to enjoy the beauty of the harvest and the family-friendly community celebration of Harvest Season in the High Desert.

Family activities are free and no registration is required.
