Event Description

 Santa Fe Community College takes Earth Day to the next level by celebrating Earth Week. From April 21 through April 27, the college comes to life with daily events, including tours, presentations, screenings, and more. Events are free and open to the community.

Schedule of events for Earth Week at Santa Fe Community College:

Mon., April 21
8:30 a.m. Bike Ride to SFCC, Meet at Sirius Cycles at Rodeo Plaza

2 p.m. Tour the new Aquaponic and Hydroponic Geodesic Dome Greenhouse
Trades & Advanced Technology Center, Room 817

Tues., April 22
10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Earth Day Resource Fair, Main Hallway

10 a.m.- 12 p.m.  Living Spirit Drummers Performance, Front Entrance

11:30 a.m. Presentation on Bioenergy and Tours of the Biofuels Lab

Weds., April 23

Co-sponsored by the SFCC Student Solar Club and the New Mexico Solar Energy Association, the Solar Fiesta includes solar vendors, energy entrepreneurs, cutting-edge science, new inventions, and more from across our sunny state and beyond. Drive a new electric car, learn how to power your home with solar panels or check out the latest technology: solar windows, which convert sunlight to electricity while giving you a great view.
