Event Description

Enjoy the 64th Annual Rodeo de Santa Fe, held June 19-22, 2013 at the historical Rodeo Grounds on Rodeo Road in Santa Fe. Rain or shine you'll be entertained with our rodeo clowns, the Cheyenne Dandees and of course, the professional cowboys competing in each event.

Get ready for the 64th Rodeo de Santa Fe coming to town June 19th through the 22nd! Saddle up for all the heart-pounding, mud-slinging, action-packed performances of a top PRCA rodeo with a hometown feel. The Rodeo de Santa Fe began in 1949 when Roy Butler, Austin “Slim” Green, Gene Petchesky, Paul Ragle, Paul Rutledge and few others had a dream and determination to organize a professional rodeo in Santa Fe, NM. This dream exceeded their ambitious expectations and today remains one of the top 60 PRCA Rodeos in the nation. Last year’s Rodeo de Santa Fe drew over 540 contestants, including World Champion cowboys Taos Muncy, Trevor Brazile and JW Harris – a roster we can expect to see grow this year.

Rodeo de Santa Fe is fun for the entire family, with many events for the little ones! The Mutton Bustin’ and youth barrel racers continue to be a crowd favorite of young and old alike! Not to mention the carnival midway, concessions, vendors and a beer garden.

In true rodeo fashion, the 64th Rodeo de Santa Fe will kick off with its annual parade in beautiful downtown Santa Fe on June 15th. Be sure to grab the kids and some lawn chairs and join the local community for a fun and exciting morning. Please visit the “Parade” tab for more information.

Each night the gates open at 5pm for dinner and shopping with our vendors. 6:30 starts the much-loved Mutton Bustin' event for our local children participants. At 7pm the Grand Entry parades into the arena. Exciting Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Team Roping, Barrel Racing, Steer Wrestling, Tie-Down Roping and Bareback Riding can be seen at every performance.
