On Friday, June 21st, the project begins. Dana Levin will read her three-line stanza, after a brief introduction by Axle Contemporary and Santa Fe Poet Laureate, Jon Davis. Iced green tea will be served.
The Renga Project continues for 52 weeks, through June 21, 2014
Renga is a traditional Japanese form of collaborative poetry, dating to the 14th century. This Renga is being written by a group of New Mexico poets, organized with Santa Fe’s Poet Laureate, Jon Davis. Each week for a full year, we will gather at our Renga sign in the Railyard, and hang a new stanza on the sign as our 52 stanza collaborative poem unfolds. Each week's poet will be invited to read their stanza.
