RED NOTE will take you into a journey through southern Spain, breathing the evolution of Flamenco’s dance and music with the Internationally renowned direction and artists of Jesús Muñoz Flamenco.
Red Note is borrowed from the tastefully symbolic, "Blue Note Jazz Club." Like Jazz, Flamenco fosters its roots from raw, intimate improvisation of standard structures with profound rhythm and melody. Flamenco arrives at this improvisation through interpretations arising from the structures of the Cante Jondo, or the deep song. Jesús Muñoz Flamenco: Muñoz will introduce his exciting personal interpretation on footwork method with his heavy, off-beat, circular style of dance and will create an on-stage collaborative visual art piece. Red Note will explore dynamic, visionary movements in dance, music and visual art that are inspired from Cante Flamenco's direction. Original music and works will be composed and performed by a cast of international dancers, musicians and double platinum award-winning percussionist, “Katumba” of Cadiz.
Nationally and Internationally, Muñoz is recognized for having a unique and original rhythm. Muñoz has created a method and rhythm that represent his American Roots, Traditional Spanish Influence, and is able to replicate with precision, feeling and depth the techniques and methods of many Master Flamenco Dancer of our era. Jesús Muñoz Flamenco is a world-class Flamenco ensemble dedicated to creating a unique improvisational structure, adaptive to many traditional and contemporary methods.
