Project Plowshare: John Wayne vs Edward Teller
Sunday, November 10, 2pm: LIVING ROOM
From John Wayne to Godzilla and from Alaska to Mississippi, Eduardo Gabrieloff will explore Project Plowshare, the United States’ program to find peaceful uses for nuclear weapons (1958-1977). In this multi-media event that incorporates monster movies, footage of Nuclear tests, photographs, gathered research and poetry, Eduardo will share how Project Plowshare proposed everything from Nuclear Fracturing (fracking) to a new Panama Canal dug with dozens of nuclear bombs. Part history archive, part research presentation, part artistic expression, this dynamic event is sure to leave an impression.
