Clad in Plaid: Free
Not in Plaid: Who Knows!
"Once you can accept the universe as matter expanding into nothing that is something, wearing stripes with plaid comes easy."
― Albert Einstein
"Once you can accept plaid with stripes, accepting the universe as matter expanding into nothing comes easy." At least that's the premise of Plaid All Over, an art exhibit/happening in celebration of plaid and its apparently infinite manifestations.
Nina Mastrangelo and Cheri Ibes are co-organizers of this immersive event at Counter Culture Cafe in Santa Fe, which will feature artworks by more than 40 artists, food, music, performance, and most of all, YOU---in plaid at the Opening celebration. Neighboring Boho Clothing & Furnishings and Hyperclash clothing are also participating in the Opening event.
The dress code for the opening party/reception is something plaid. "The idea is for everyone to be part of the event, part of the plaid experience," emphasizes Nina Mastrangelo. A closing party is also planned with music and performance.
"In a way, it's a celebration of all us---almost everyone has something plaid in their wardrobe," adds Cheri Ibes. But for those who are truly plaid-less or forget to wear plaid, the Plaid Shop can help out with just the right plaid accent for their plaid fashion statement.
