Country, Jazz, Blues | R&B, Funk, Soul.
Paula Rhae McDonald was born in Abilene, Texas to a family full of musicians and after a childhood of singing, she went on to perform with various bands and eventually toured all over the U.S. with Doc Holiday and the Hole in the Wall Gang. In 1979, the band took an in-house job in Santa Fe, New Mexico at Mr. R’s, and Paula performed there for several years, becoming a favorite of the locals and visitors to the area, many of whom would make a show a part of every return itinerary. But in 1984, she put full focus on raising her family and later opened “Little Bird at Loretto” gallery (211 Old Santa Fe Trail) in 1989.” Little Bird’ is also Paula Rhae’s childhood nick name because she was such a tiny little thing. The gallery is now known internationally and is recognized for featuring noted Native American Indian artists and Contemporary Western artists. There is always something going on at “Little Bird at Loretto” including musical events every First Friday of the month through October.
Soulstatic is a performance and dance band. They feature funk and R&B. and are comprised of some of the best musicians anywhere. They were founded four years ago and continue to strive for the very best sound and presentation. They always come to play!
