The National Theatre’s original stage production of War Horse, first performed in 2007, has become an international hit. This extraordinary drama takes audiences from the fields of rural Devon to the trenches of World War I France. War Horse includes astonishing life-size puppets from South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Company that bring breathing, galloping, charging horse to life on stage.
“Genius isn’t too strong a word to describe this astonishing production.”
“So exhilarating that it makes you rejoice to be alive.”
