Event Description

Santa Fe Bandstand is a free summer music festival on the Santa Fe Plaza, produced by Outside In Productions and a crew that strives to present the city with a wide range of performers, who represent the diversity and wealth of musical talent in this region. Performances take place Monday to Friday, starting on June 21 through August 23, 2013. All shows are free and open to the public.

Nation Beat: World. This Brooklyn-based collective plays a 21st century mashup inspired by Brazilian maracatu drumming, New Orleans second line rhythms, funk and country-blues.

Nacao Estrela Brilhante: World. Nação Estrela Brilhante is one of Brazilʼs oldest and most respected traditional maracatu groups from Recife, the capital city of Pernambuco. Founded in 1906, Estrela Brilhante (ʻBright Starʼ) has become one of the most renowned and respected traditional maracatu groups in the world. Fresh from their performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
