Event Description

One of the best deals in town starts at the New Mexico History Museum/Palace of the Governors, where Fridays are free to everyone from 6 to 8 pm, May through October, and the first Friday of the month, November through April. We sweeten the deal with talks from our curators and other museum professionals.

“Mapping New Mexico”
As New Mexico morphed into the state we know today, its paper outlines changed the lives of those who called it home. Gather in Telling New Mexico: Stories from Then and Now, where Librarian Tomas Jaehn will talk about three maps that demonstrate those changes—along with a cartographic error that determined who lived where.
