November 22, 23, 24, 2013
at El Museo Cultural, located in the Santa Fe Railyard District at:

Many Hands, Many Feet, now in its 3rd year, is a diverse festival of Belly Dance workshops, performance, and a multi-cultural bazaar! Past festivals have joined local dance professionals with international performing artists such as Grammy winner Souhail Kaspar, Ziva Emtiyaz and the renowned band Helm. This year’s festival presents an array of artists from NM and California teaching workshops in styles that range from Danza Mora (Spanish-Arabic dance) to Classical Persian to Contemporary Tribal Fusion to the Kalbelia Gypsy dance of India to Raqs Sharqi, traditional Egyptian-style Belly Dance. These diverse styles will come together Saturday night in an experimental Theatrical Belly Dance show, “The Journey of the Magic Lamp”!

About the Performance:
Sat. Nov. 22nd, 7:30 pm, at El Museo Cultural,
“The Journey of the Magic Lamp” is a Theatrical Bellydance Extravaganza, following the maze-like voyage of the magic lamp (accompanied by oceanic veils, circus elements and a possible dragon) through the narrative dance play of many dancers including international artist Amaya, Natalie Nayun (of CA), Las Brujas, The Saltanah Dancers, Eric Salazar, Annya Ishtara, 4 Winds Bellydance, Eliane Allegre and more! $10-20, sliding scale, children under 12 for free.
