Event Description

Santa Fe poets, politicians, business owners, and students and professors from the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) will celebrate National Poetry Month with free Friday readings at 6 p.m. at IAIA during April.

The Santa Fe My Favorite Poem project, directed by award-winning poet and University of New Mexico professor Luci Tapahonso, invites community members to share their favorite works of poetry by other authors. IAIA will co-host the Santa Fe project at the Center for Lifelong Education April 12 and April 26.

Poetry readers include Santa Fe Mayor David Coss; Santa Fe County Commissioner Liz Stefanics; Santa Fe Poet Laureate and IAIA Creative Writing Chair Jon Davis; IAIA President Dr. Robert Martin and more.
