Indigenous Fine Art Market Announces Kickoff of Inaugural Event

Live Painting Collaboration with Native American Artists Kevin Red Star and George Alexander




Event Description

Indigenous Fine Art Market (IFAM), an inaugural Native American art market to take place this month in Santa Fe, announces its collaboration with Native American artists Kevin Red Star and George Alexander to put on a live painting session at the Santa Fe Railyard Arts District at 11:00 a.m. on August 21, 2014. This will be their kickoff event and is free and open to the public.

More than 300 acclaimed Native American artists will show and sell their art. Legendary artist Kevin Red Star and emerging artist George Alexander, designers of the 2014 IFAM merchandise collection, will paint live, side by side to kickoff the event. DJ Brian Frejo will play music to accompany the live paint. Kevin Red Star's completed painting will be raffled to benefit IFAM's year round programs. Tickets for the raffle are $20 and available for purchase at the Live Paint event and at IFAM’s merchandise booth.
