    Event Description

On March 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lensic Performing Arts Center, more than 200 choral students from five middle schools and two high schools perform.

The purpose of these concerts is to bring students together district-wide to make music and become acquainted with students and music directors at other schools. Students will prepare for these concerts by working together in the weeks preceding. The Santa Fe public will have the opportunity to hear SFPS Music Education programs and the level of excellence these programs provide.

Superintendent Bobbie Gutierrez states “our public will enjoy a unique opportunity to witness the musical achievements of our SFPS band, choir, elementary music, and strings programs through these concerts. I am proud of these young musicians, who will represent our District’s commitment to the arts,” comments Superintendent Gutierrez. SFPS Music Education Coordinator Leanne DeVane shares “our programs have multiplied in scope and quality over the past five years. Audiences will leave the concerts inspired, with an awareness of the beauty and relevance of music education in the lives of children.”
