The HaMakom Jewish Film Festival continues with its screening of winner of the Israeli Academy Award for Best Picture, 'The Human Resources Manager'. Directed by Erin Riklis who also directed The Lemon Tree and The Syrian Bride, the film traces the psychological and physical journey of a human resources manager whose employee is killed by a suicide bomber in Jerusalem. Winner of multiple other awards, the film was Israel's submission last year to the U.S. Academy for Best Foreigh Picture.
Bonnie Ellinger, Ph.D will lead a facilitated discussion following the film. Bonnie lived in Israel for 35 years where she earned her Ph.D and taught at Bar Ilan University. Since returning to the U.S. ten years ago she has taught Hebrew classes and leads a Jewish Book Club.
