When: Sept. 19 & 20
Location: National Hispanic Cultural Center
This bicycle ride is an opportunity for cyclists to discover one of NM's hidden jewels; traversing some of the most beautiful roads of norther NM. This loop (the 105 distance ride) covers roads less traveled and will take many cyclists places they have never been before, by car or bike. Sipapu, Holman Hill, Mora, Guadalpita, Black Lake and climbing Palo Flechado pass from east to west will be different experiences for most cyclists. We are really excited about bringing this opportunity to cyclists from NM and beyond. With a Medio Fondo (84 miles) and a Micro Fondo (46 miles) there is something for everyone. Some people enter feeling very competitive, but for others it is about the ride, the challenge of finishing and often just riding with friends in a cool place. All distances are fully supported. First 100 entrants regardless of distance get a free technical tee.
The event will benefit the Taos Sports Alliance (TSA) and their mission of bringing more sporting events to Taos County, especially for youth. The TSA website (www.taossports.com) has more information about the ride and online registration.
