‘Golf Etiquette 101’

Event Description

Join accredited PGA and LPGA golf professionals, Julio “Alo” Brodsky and Holly Spellman, on March 22, 2014, from 10 -11 a.m., at The Links Bar & Grill, located at Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe for an hour long, informative workshop series focused on golf etiquette. This “Free” workshop series will showcase multiple etiquette forms for golfers of all skill levels and will discuss inside industry secrets to improve your golf game.

“The purpose for the workshop series is to help golfers understand how to use proper etiquette, gain awareness of other golfers and how their pace affects your game, understand possible challenges for different course conditions, and ultimately, have more fun while playing golf,” stated Alo Brodsky, Head Golf Professional.

The workshops are open to golf enthusiasts of all skill levels who want to spend one-on-one time with industry professionals by asking questions and getting feedback on their current form.

Julio “Alo” Brodsky, PGA: A native of Santa Fe, NM, Alo is currently the Head Golf Professional at Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe golf course and has been teaching golfers of all skill levels for the past 4 years. At a young age, Alo was introduced to the game of golf and to the golf community in Santa Fe by his father who was a local golfer and artist. Alo received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO.  He is currently a PGA member working on his Class A professional accreditation.


Holly Spellman, LPGA: Holly is currently a golf instructor at The Santa Fe Community College and has been teaching golfers of all skill levels for the past 13 years. She also teaches private lessons and clinics for women at Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe and is a founding member of the Ladies of the Links Golf Association (LLGA). As part of her dedication to the game, Holly was the Co-Chair for the annual Susan G. Komen “Rally for the Cure” golf tournaments for the past 10 years. In 2010, she was awarded the "2009 Sportswoman Of The Year" from the LLGA. She wishes to inspire others with her mission and love for the game. "My mission is to teach, inspire and have students translate the integrity of golf to their everyday lives".
