Shiprock Santa Fe will present a reception, talk, and question/answer session on Hopi art and culture, with a focus on works in the gallery’s exhibition From the Mesas. The show will feature a selection of Hopi arts and crafts, including Katsina tithu, pottery, textiles, and jewelry. Notable works include jewelry by master Hopi jeweler Charles Loloma, his niece Sonwai (Verma Nequatewa), pottery by Nampeyo, and more. The program is presented in conjunction with the O’Keeffe Museum’s exhibition Georgia O’Keeffe in New Mexico: Architecture, Katsinam, and the Land, and in partnership with Shiprock Santa Fe.
