Colin Keegan lives on an apple orchard in Tesuque, which produces an abundant crop of heirloom apples and an overwhelming supply of apple cider. So in 2009, Keegan created a distillery where he could produce his own style of traditional scotch and brandy, and the birth of Santa Fe Spirits in 2010 was the dream of a lifetime. In this presentation, enjoy a talk by Keegan while tasting Santa Fe Spirits’ homemade vodka, gin, whiskey and apple brandy.
Then, Hakim Bellamy will share some of his favorite poems about food by others as well as his own. An amateur foodie, whose only qualification is coming from a family that loves to eat and having cooked his way through college, Bellamy serves as the Inaugural Poet Laureate of Albuquerque.
