Thursday, April 24, free events will feature a “Getting Started” workshop from 1:00pm-4:00pm. and the Homeschool Showcase at 6:00 p.m. The Showcase will feature talented home school students from around the state and speaker Mark Hamby.
National speakers Ken Sande, Mark Hamby, and Rachael Carman will be the featured speakers and giving workshops along with other homeschool veterans. One of the favorite features of the convention is the exhibit hall with dozens of vendors, ready and willing to answer questions, with curriculum available on-site to be purchased and taken home.
The 2014 Children's Program, presented by Knight Lights, will be jam-packed with stories, games, songs, skits, object lessons, P.E., and more. It runs concurrently with the convention. Children must be between the ages of 5-11.
Register for the convention and the children’s program at www.cape-nm.org. Early registration, with a discounted registration fee, is available until April 7. Registration after that must be in person, on-site.
