Explore selections from recent books about the living Hopi artists Dan Namingha and Ramona Sakiestewa. Namingha blends realism and abstract modernism in his artworks. Sakiestewa is a self-taught weaver whose art has included tapestry, works on paper, mixed media, and architectural design. She is also a community activist who has influenced New Mexico state and local policy.
