Event Description

The first few months of 2014 have proven to be particularly challenging due to the number of special needs cats we have already received and cared for. More than ever, we need your support through Cocktails for Critters to continue providing second chances to cats in need.

Each year, many of the cats we accept require vet care, special diets and medicine. Some remain in the organization as members of our Permanent Foster Program where foster homes and Felines & Friends share the ongoing cost of care for the rest of the cat’s life.

Simply by coming and enjoying our Sunday afternoon event featuring great food, wine, silent auction, cat condo raffle and 50/50 split, you will be helping Felines & Friends continue rescuing cats and kittens throughout Northern New Mexico.

Music will be provided by guitarist Marc Yaxley who is currently a featured performer at The Club at Las Campanas. He has opened for many well-known musicians including, Maynard Ferguson, Ramsey Lewis, Dave Brubeck, and George Shearing. Marc has also performed an arrangement of Dave Brubeck's "Blue Rondo ala Turk" with Warren Haynes of the Allman Brothers Band.

This year, we are excited to offer "St. Francis and the Kitties"! A wool tapestry box pillow with velvet backing, 15" X 15". Designed and stitched by Kay Marks, it is a one-of-a-kind original and will not be duplicated. Raffle tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100

Reservations to attend our event are only $40 per person or $75 for two. The location of the party is a luxury home in Santa Fe [courtesy of Pinon Property Placement], the address of which will be provided only to paid guests starting approximately 2 weeks prior to the event. If you are unable to attend, please consider making a tax deductible donation! Even a little goes a long way in supporting our mission of helping companion animals in need.
