A Santa Fe tradition, the public is invited to mingle as 100 artists take their work outdoors and paint along historic Canyon Road. The event celebrates and honors a tradition of painting “en plein air” that began over a century ago on this narrow trail leading to Santa Fe from the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. More than just painting, artists will be working in a variety of forms including sculpting, weaving, carving and jewelry making. The event is free to the public and takes place Friday, 5:00 through 8:00 p.m. with gallery openings, artist receptions and interactive art exhibits. Festivities continue Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. For more information, visit www.visitcanyonroad.com.
