Georgia O’Keeffe Exhibited in Europe: Rome, Munich, and Helsinki

Come to hear about Georgia O’Keeffe, a retrospective of O’Keeffe’s art the museum has organized that opened in October, 2011 at the Fondazione Roma, Rome, was on view from February-May at the Hypostyle Kunsthalle, Munich, and is now at the City Art Museum, Helsinksi until September 2012.  Learn why Georgia O’Keeffe’s work was not exhibited often during her lifetime in Europe and why and which of her works attracted the attention of European collectors, beginning in the early 1970s as well as how this exhibition has been received in Europe. Led by Barbara Buhler Lynes, Curator, Georgia O’Keeffe Museum and the Emily Fisher Landau Director, Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Research Center.
