With grooves like Love is a Stolen Bowling Ball and Dim Sum in Albuquerque, BLAME IT ON REBEKKAH explores the musical territory of “dance-pop.” Loaded with heavy doses of hip-hop synthesizers and percussion loops, their sound marries the power ballad and the beat, perky pop and funky groove, lusty rhythm and bubbly melodies. Live performances are a musical, emotional roller-coaster. At moments, the show has an intimate, piano-lounge feel, packed with stories & crowd interaction as Rebekkah performs solo, bare and exposed with just her piano and voice. Other times it feels more like a 70’s disco or modern day doo-wop concert with Rebekkah surrounded by talented musicians and backed by swinging vocalists that get the crowd moving.
