The beauty of Santa Fe’s unique real estate combines with amazing artwork from Santa Fe’s finest galleries in the “Art of Home Tour”. The tour represents an eclectic lineup of residences including “The Sundial House”, awarded an American Institute of Architects citation for Design Excellence – an early example of famous local master architect Bill Lumpkins’s work – a home on the historic eastside designed by artist and preservationist Frank Applegate and once owned by Fred Harvey – and more. All homes are currently on the market, and this weekend each home will be partnered with a local gallery who will stage the property with a variety of pieces by artists they represent. In addition, each of the homes will showcase a piece from the Student Art Project. During the hours of the Home Tour these pieces are bid on through a silent auction process and all the proceeds are donated to ARTsmart.
Artwork showcased at the homes during this event are available for purchase. Gallery owners, artists, and/or staff will be on hand to tell you about the artwork, and a portion of the proceeds from sales of art in the homes will be donated to ARTfeast, whose mission is to ensure that Santa Fe and New Mexico youth have the opportunity to explore, experience and engage in the visual arts, a critical component of every student’s education.
This event is FREE to all participants and is produced and underwritten by Santa Fe Properties, the local affiliate of Luxury Portfolio International, in conjunction with ARTfeast.
“The feedback we’ve received from this event over the past few years has been tremendous!” says Candy Brenton, Marketing Director of Santa Fe Properties. “Last year, nearly 500 people toured the homes over the two days. Many of the attendees mentioned to our brokers how wonderful it was that they had the opportunity to view such a wide variety of architectural styles represented in the homes and, at the same time, enjoy an impressive array of artwork. We are looking forward to this year’s event.”
