Art & Lisa are Americana singer/songwriters at their best, with a fresh Roots-Folk-Country sound. Having met a few years ago in the historic Arkey Blue's Silver Dollar Saloon, their refreshing sound was soon in demand all around Texas and the country. Art & Lisa's original music ranges from folk to country blues and classic rock, and they do a wide variety of obscure covers, including Bob Dylan,Kevin Welch, Lucinda Williams, Patty Griffith, Dr. Hook, Walt Wilkins, and many more. Their vocals are smooth, rich, and soulful. MCA award winning songwriter Susan Gibson describes the duo as "Grit and Grace" while Michael O'Connor says "strong, beautiful and true". Art & Lisa were nominated vocal duo of the year 2010 by the Academy Of Texas Music, for their work on their debut CD "Learning To Breathe Again",which was produced by John Inmon and Lloyd Maines. Their latest release, "Healin 9; Time", produced by John Inmon debuted at#23 on the Americana Roots charts in March 2011. The duo, now touring as a trio with friend, producer and legendary guitarman John Inmon, have risen to hew heights. Their live performances will capture your heart as well as your full attention. The three part harmonies are nothing less than angelic, and combined with Inmon'smesmerizing guitar work, you are bound to feel a little elevated yourself. John's Story-His peers know John as one of the finest guitarists in Austin, Texas (and, considering the competition, that is high praise indeed); his fans know him as the signature guitar style that has at one time or another propelled the music of Townes van Zandt, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Joe Ely, Delbert McClinton, Marcia Ball, Omar and the Howlers, the Lost Gonzo Band, Bruce Robison, Pat Green, Michael Martin Murphy, Keith Sykes, and most famously, Jerry Jeff Walker, for over three decades.
