Art by Pueblo Matriarchs

Event Description

Adobe Gallery is currently exhibiting a limited number of pottery and paintings by former matriarch artists of New Mexico and Arizona Pueblos during February and March, 2012.  Represented in the collection will be pottery by Maria Martinez, Lucy Lewis, Nampeyo of Hano, Margaret Tafoya, Felipita Aguilar Garcia & Asuncion Aguilar Caté (the Aguilar sisters), Martina Vigil, and Tonita Roybal.  Painters represented include Tonita Peña and Pablita Velarde.  The exhibit opened on Friday, February 10th and continues through March 15th.

Exhibit closed Wednesdays and Sundays.
