Event Description

A Wild Solution for Climate Change
Our planet’s biology and its climate are inexorably coupled. Warmer and less predictable climates will continue to diminish the planet’s biodiversity. But biological systems can be part of a solution. Conservation biology pioneer Tom Lovejoy will examine the present and possible future impacts of climate change and explore how we might manage both biological and human economic systems to reduce the long-term effects of climate change.

Tom LovejoyBiodiversity Chair of the H. John Heinz III Center for Science, Economics and the Environment and University Professor of Environmental Science and Policy at George Mason University

Lectures are free and open to the public. Seating is limited.
