Free Public Talk
The Santa Fe Metropolitan Planning Organization has invited national experts Dan Burden and Robert Ping of the Walkable and Livable Communities Institute (www.walklive.org) to speak to the public on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center. The duo will provide a lively and entertaining discussion demonstrating ways they inspire, teach, and support communities in their efforts to improve health and well-being through better built environments.
This public talk is sponsored by the Santa Fe Metropolitan Planning Organization as a means to support your Pedestrian, Bicycle and Public Transit Master Planning efforts and is a highlight to Santa Fe’s Bike-To-Work Week events. The evening presentation is co-hosted by Creative Santa Fe and will demonstrate simple, affordable, and practical solutions to increasing walkability, bikeability, and livability in Santa Fe.
Dan Burden and Robert Ping are in town for three days of targeted presentations to key stakeholders who may benefit from the investment of policies, programs and infrastructure that increase the positive impacts to public health, our economy and our community’s well-being by providing quality walking and bicycling experiences.
